We have library class that we want included

Lower School boys visit the Library once a week for story time and to borrow books. Pre-Primary and first graders focus on the study of fiction and nonfiction, and the arrangement of books. Second graders coordinate their book-borrowing with their study of New York. In third grade, an introduction to research skills prepares the boys for their year-end U.S. state report. Fourth grade spends classes in the Reference Room and the main library reinforcing dictionary and encyclopedia skills; keyword searching of the catalog; the use of the Dewey decimal system; search strategies emphasizing reference books, internet, and on-line sources, preparing them for research that will follow in Grade 5.
