Admissions Procedures

The admissions process begins in the fall prior to the year of enrollment. The Admissions Office arranges interviews for families after we receive your COMPLETED application form. We will contact you to set up an appointment to come see the school. Appointments will be scheduled based on availability.

Pre-Primary (Kindergarten)

Browning has a one-step process for admission to our Pre-Primary. During your visit, you and your son will be taken on an individual tour of our facilities where you can observe our teachers and classrooms first hand. Immediately following your tour, you will meet with Jacqueline Casey, the Director of Admissions, for a parent interview. During that time, your son will work with our admissions evaluator for 15 to 20 minutes.

Lower School (Grade One through Grade Four)

There are usually very limited spaces for these grades. Please contact the Admissions Office by telephone to determine potential openings.

Middle School (Grade Five through Form II)

Browning has a one-step process for admission to Grades Five through Grade Eight. During your visit, you and your son will be taken on an individual tour of our facilities where you can observe our teachers and classrooms firsthand. Immediately following your tour you will have a parent interview with Christine Bramble, Director of Middle and Upper School Admissions. Your son will then have his interview with Christopher Dunham, Head of the Middle School. If admitted, your son will be invited to attend classes.

Upper School (Form III through Form VI)

Browning has a one-step process for admission to Grade Nine through Grade Twelve. You will go on an individual tour of our facilities where you and your son can observe our teachers and classrooms firsthand. Immediately following your tour you will have a parent interview with Christine Bramble, Director of Middle and Upper School Admissions, and your son will then have a student interview with Jim Reynolds, Head of the Upper School. Your son will also have the option to return to the school another day for a morning visit during which your son will attend classes.

We do not admit students for Grades Eleven and Twelve.
