As a great opportunity to kick off their Latin American projects, the 5th grade Spanish and French classes participated in the Three Kings Day parade on Tuesday, January 6. In its 33rd year, El Museo del Barrio has celebrated this time-honored tradition with a procession through the streets of El Barrio, filling them up with lively music, colorful dancing and parrandas. One of the most festive events of the holiday season in Latin America, the Caribbean and various European countries, Three Kings Day honors the story of the King's travels to Bethlehem and their arrival on the Epiphany. It is a time to rejoice with family, friends and community.
