Members of the Upper School attended the People of Color Conference (PoCC)/Student Diversity and Leadership Conference (SDLC), this year held in Anaheim, Calif. The theme of the conference was “Lead, Learn, Rededicate, and Deliver: Voices for Equity and Justice Now and in Every Generation.”

The JV and Varsity Panthers both brought home championships in the 2017-18 LREI Preseason Tip-Off Tournament. In the first game, the JV Panthers defeated Garden by a score of 51-38, while the nightcap saw the Varsity Panthers beat the host team LREI by a score of 69-35. 

Upper School advisory groups had the opportunity to hear from Naeem Hirani, an African Legal Fellow of the Vance Center, about his life in Kenya and how to marry professional success and community building. Mr. Hirani has done pro bono legal work for the non-profit organization that Browning works with, The Fleischer Foundation, which supports underprivileged children in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

Nineteen Lower School boys played memorable pieces at our first informal music recital, with one boy accompanying his piano performance by singing along.

Kindergarten and Grade Four "buddies" are making holiday cards this month to send to The Scarlett Fund for pediatric patients at Memorial Sloane Kettering.
