Annual Giving

The mission of the Annual Fund is to support Browning’s annual operational needs. Where the endowment is by definition restricted, the Annual Fund provides flexible, immediate funds. Annual giving supports approximately 10% of the School’s annual operating budget. Consider that it would require approximately $24 million in endowment to generate the amount given this past fiscal year through the Fund by alumni, parents and friends.

Included among the initiatives your gift to annual giving helps support are:

  • academic programs
  • faculty compensation and professional development
  • financial assistance & scholarships
  • athletics, student activities, & clubs
  • fine and performing arts program
  • facilities maintenance

Why Participation Matters

Participation in annual giving serves as a powerful testament of our institution's strength as it reflects our community's commitment to The Browning's School's educational mission and vision. To organizations and foundations with grant opportunities, high participation is an indicator of a healthy institution worthy of additional support.

We ask all of our constituents to contribute to the Annual Fund as their means allow, and to express their philanthropic commitment to Browning with a gift that is personally meaningful.
