Peregrine Broadbent P '29, CFO of Jefferies

Mr. Broadbent has been executive vice president and chief financial officer of Jefferies since November 2007. Previously, he was employed by Morgan Stanley for 16 years, including serving as managing director and CFO of institutional business (fixed income, equity and investment banking) from November 2003 through November 2007, and managing director and head of fixed income infrastructure from March 2002 to November 2003. Mr. Broadbent is a chartered accountant in the United Kingdom and earned an M.Sc. in engineering. He has five children and is married to Hayley; their son Sebastian is in first grade at Browning.


David "DIGGER" Granville-Smith P '21, '25, CFO and COO of A+E Networks

Mr. Granville-Smith is the chief operating officer and chief financial officer of A+E Networks. He joined A+E Networks as executive vice president and chief financial officer in July 2014, and was named to his current position in December 2016. He leads all key financial functions across A+E Networks, including A&E®, History®, Lifetime®, LMN®, FYI™, H2®, Crime & Investigation Network®, History en Español™, Military HISTORY®, LRW®, A+E Studios™, A&E Indie Films®, A+E Networks International®, A+E Networks Digital® and A+E Networks Consumer Products™. In addition, he oversees the production, operations, engineering and information technology departments and is responsible for the Corporate Development, Strategy, Investments and Ventures Group. He provides strategic and operational leadership across all divisions of the company in order to drive overall growth and value creation. He serves on the boards of A+E Networks Latin America and VICELAND.

Jane Nielsen P '18, CFO of Ralph Lauren

Ms. Nielsen has been chief financial officer of Ralph Lauren Corporation since September 2016. Previously, she served as chief financial officer of Coach, Inc. from September 2011 to August 2016, as well as chief accounting officer and executive vice president. Ms. Nielsen joined Coach after 15 years at PepsiCo, Inc., where she served as senior vice president and chief financial officer at PepsiCo Beverages Americas and the Global Nutrition Group at PepsiCo, Inc.; she was responsible for all financial management including financial reporting, performance management, capital allocation and strategic planning. Ms. Nielsen began her career in 1986 at Credit Suisse First Boston as an analyst and later served with Marakon Associates.

She has been an independent director of Pinnacle Foods Inc. since March 2014. Ms. Nielsen holds a B.A. in Economics from Smith College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. She and her husband Mark have two children; their son Robert is in Form VI at Browning.
