Panthers End Sensational Spring Season!

Director of Athletics Andrew West ’92 and the spring season coaches offer reports on their teams’ outcomes, beginning with this summary from Coach West:

This spring was once again a very successful one. It all started with an amazing trip to Port St. Lucie, Fla., where the varsity baseball, track and tennis teams were able to get a jump-start on the competition, training and playing under the beautiful Florida sun. After a fall and winter without winning any championships, the Panthers decided it was time to do some winning! Here are our impressive results:

Varsity Baseball:

2017 NYCAL Postseason Champions for second consecutive year

2017 NYCAL Team Sportsmanship Award (as voted on by opposing coaches)

Varsity Tennis:

2017 NYCAL Regular Season Champions

2017 NYCAL Postseason Tournament Champions

Varsity Track:

First Place Overall for Boys at the NYCAL Track Championship Meet

I am very proud of the way our boys handled themselves throughout the year. It didn’t matter whether we won the championship or finished last, we were always good sports and true Browning gentlemen. For this, I am grateful to the boys and to their coaches. I am very proud of our guys and hope you are, too. Go Panthers!
