Browning Boys Win Coveted Awards at French Theater Fest

On January 26 and 27, Form II and Form IV French students participated in the annual theater festival organized by the Lycée Français of New York. French teacher Dominique offers the following report:

The boys’ assignment was to present a short play of five to seven minutes in length based on this year’s theme of “Nature.” Ably assisted by his talented peers, a Form IV boy was awarded the “best non-French speaking male actor trophy.” What’s more, the entire Form II class received the coveted “best non-French speaking male actors trophy?”

Browning also won a “Coup de Coeur” for humor and wit – a superb achievement indeed! It was, as it is every year, an enjoyable and engaging activity. Form II French students have participated in this event since 2003 and have always performed extremely well. For the third time, Form IV has been called up to the “big league.” It is really a great opportunity for the boys to immerse themselves in French language and culture.
