Closing Ceremonies Celebrate Achievements and Brotherhood

The Lower and Middle Schoolers concluded the school year with two magnificent ceremonies, where students, faculty, and families united to celebrate the Class of 2027 and Class of 2031 as they moved up to the next division!

The Lower Schoolers had a magical morning at their Closing Ceremony, coming together to sing beautiful songs including The Beatles’ “Let it Be” and Beyoncé’s “Spirit” and celebrate Browning as a community. Head of Lower School Eric Ogden, in his remarks, reflected on the boys' journey throughout the past year. He praised their formation of new friendships and the strengthening of existing ones, particularly commending Grade 4 for their readiness to transition to middle school. He praised the Lower Schoolers' remarkable progress since remote learning, recognizing their embodiment of Browning values as mentors, achievers, artists, athletes, and more. Mr. Ogden wished Grade 4 success in Middle School and encouraged them to continue exploring and finding their purpose, aligning with Browning's core values.

During the Middle School Closing Ceremony, the Grade 8 boys’ achievements were joyously celebrated, during which each boy reflected on their journey and the strong brotherhood they formed at Browning. At the event, Head of Middle School Ophelia Man applauded the group's strengths, such as their reflective nature, valuable lessons integration, and learning experiences in Washington, D.C. She also praised the scholar athletes' teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship as inspiring examples. Additionally, Ms. ma commended their growth mindset, empathy, and personal responsibility, which fostered resilience and self-improvement.

Congratulations again to both classes as they move up to their new divisions! Please scroll past the Grade 4 album to see the album for Grade 8 album of pictures.
